Investment in warehouse reaps rewards for customers

International metals stockist Broder Metals Group has made a significant investment in its warehouse facilities to dramatically increase storage capacity and output processes.

A combined investment in new racking, another forklift truck and a fifth mechanised saw for cutting medium size nickel bars means the company can now hold even more stock and cut it to size before dispatching it even quicker to its global customer base.

Warehouse Operative for Broder Metals Group, Liam Sykes explains how customers will benefit from the investment in the new facilities.

“The new racking has significantly increased our capacity to hold more stock as well as speeding up the whole warehousing procedures. The new saw has expanded our ability to cut nickel alloy bar up to 400mm diameter and the addition of the new forklift means we can get it loaded and out the door to customers even quicker than before. The combination of all three should see even more satisfied customers in future,” says Liam.

Broder Metals Group supplies nickel alloys, high tensile stainless steel, duplex, super duplex, flanges and fittings to fastener manufacturers supplying the oil & gas, marine, power generation, and automotive industries.

Broder Metals Group employs 22 people at its head office in Ecclesfield, Sheffield from where it despatches orders to customers located in 42 different countries.
