BS S130D AMS 5646

S130D is a stabilised Austenitic Stainless Steel known for
its easy weldability without requiring a post-weld heat treatment and excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion after exposure to high temperatures.

The steel is oxidation resistant at temperatures up to 816°C which makes it suitable for use within aircraft engines where the environment is corrosive.

S130D is supplied in the Solution Heat Treated condition
with a machined surface.
